Making your own natural multi use house cleaner

If you’re on the journey of switching to more natural products, this multi-use cleaner is a big leap in the right direction, and all you need are 3 simple ingredients!

The Ingredients Needed:

  • Water
  • White Vinegar
  • Essential Oil

How to make your cleaner:

This may be one of the most simple DIYs you’ll come across. Get yourself a spray bottle. I really enjoy these glass spray bottles from amazon -> https://amzn.to/3rCxSG5 but any old spray bottle you may have lying around will work! Fill your bottle between 1/3 – 1/2 the way with your white vinegar, and then fill the rest of the way wither water. After that, add about 20 drops of your chosen essential oil. Once you screw the top back on, give it a good shake to mix it up, and you are good to go! it’s really that easy!

What essential oil should I use?

I typically gravitate towards citrus oils. Lemon, or orange not only gives your space a lively, energetic aroma, but it also has anti-bacterial properties. For something cozier, but equally cleansing, you could try cinnamon, rosemary, lavender, and peppermint. Of course, you could also combine scents, for something completely unique!

Note!: Some essential oils are toxic to pets, such as dogs, and cats! Do your own research before using certain oils certain places in your home if you have pets.

What can I use my cleaner for?:

This cleaner really is multi-purpose! I use it for just about all my weekly cleaning! Countertops, windows, mirrors, floors, wiping down the shower, toilet, etc! The only thing to avoid is natural stones, as the vinegar can damage them. Other than that, it really gets the job done!

Why should I make the switch to a natural cleaner?:

  1. Its Cheaper – I can practically guarantee you will find that your bill will be smaller when making the switch! Instead of spending money on multiple, expensive cleaning supplies, I just buy a big jug of white vinegar that lasts ages , and my needed essential oils. You can get bigger bottles like this https://amzn.to/33yddLr that will last you a long time.
  2. Its Safer- No worries about long term health affects , or accidents when using natural cleaners. If you or a child accidentally injested , or sprayed some of this natural cleaner into your eye for example, you wouldnt have to immeditelty be going to the hospital, or on the phone with poison control, like youd have to be with its counterpart.
  3. It really works! You’ll never find yourself wanting to switch back!
