It’s that time of year again when every store and every business starts advertising more than ever, attempting to sell YOU their products. Now while I see absolutely nothing wrong with buying loved ones gifts, I do take issue with the culture around crazy consumerism. In an attempt to try to help others through that, I am compiling the ultimate list of gifts for those who are homestead-minded! - This book helped me so much during my first year of canning! It’s filled with many great recipes for both water-bath and pressure canning.
Polyface Micro: Success with Livestock on a Homestead Scale
- Any book by Joel Salatin is honestly a must read. He’s filled with so much knowledge. I’m currently reading this one, and I can’t put it down!
The First-Time GardenerThe First-Time Homesteader
- These two books are beautiful and great for those who may just be starting out with homesteading, and or gardening!
The Prairie Homestead Cookbook
- Probably my favorite recipe book that I have. It’s filled with “made from scratch recipes” that are wholesome and delicious!
