Easy and Perfectly Flakey Homemade Pie Crust Recipe

Are you a pie lover? Do you enjoy making pies for your family and on special occasions? I know I do! No matter what time of year it is, you can always whip together a pie for the season. Whether it be berries or lemon in the summer or apple and pumpkin in the autumn, A good pie can make any day so special! And what is one of the key factors in any type of amazing pie? The crust of course! Now some say it’s hard for them to make a good crust. Some say they would even rather buy store-bought! This is so sad to me because I know the most delicious, homemade pie crust is so easy to achieve! Follow along with me as I tell you this incredibly simple, flakey pie crust recipe!

Ingredients:

( Recipe makes a top and bottom, half for a pie with just a bottom crust)

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 6 tbsp cold water

Instructions :

  • Put your flour and salt into a food processor, or a blender if you don’t have one.
  • Chop your butter into small cubes and place them in the processor as well
  • Start mixing your ingredients and as it’s mixing, begin adding the water one tbsp at a time. You may find you need a little more or less so keep an eye on the consistency. You want it to all stick together but not be super wet.
  • Separate into two balls
  • On a well-floured surface, roll out your crust for your pie dish.
